Harrah's Cherokee Casino Resort
Working with The Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians and Caesars Entertainment, Tom Hoskens and Cuningham expanded the Great Smoky Mountains Resort into a sophisticated, world-class destination. The phased development included a 500,000-square-foot casino expansion with VIP Lounge, a 520-key hotel, two parking garages, retail concourse, new restaurants, a new spa, and 3,000-seat event center.
The new exterior reflects the layered, curving shapes of the Smoky Mountains. Tall spruce trees, oak trees and river cane support the character of the site. Inside, four visually distinct zones — Mountain Breeze, Woodland Moon, River Valley and Earth Water — help orient guests within the large space.
